Manipal Melodrama!

It's been a year and I have fallen in love with Manipal.
It was a tough choice, I still remember the rainy July day of 2014, when I first came to Manipal.
The campus was kind of empty, the blocks hard to find, the rooms looked Bare and the room-mate who was a total stranger. It was a terrifying situation. You hear about the exciting Manipal and then all of a sudden you land up in a  town with everything strange( specially for north Indians). The food was haunting, yes I have never had "Rasam Chawal" and it was really big deal for me. Then the classes start, first one week either you make groups( which really don't go anywhere later) or you stay aloof and alone. I was the later category, went to college and came back to room. It would be awkward when people will come in groups to say Hii-Hello to you but eventually you will get habituated. You get to know people slowly and you find friends. Some stay and some don't in the long run- No big deal, take everything lightly in Manipal. Make friends with as much people as you can, don't sit in the room because there is a lot to explore and trust me the First year won't come back. Go eat out, go to beaches, have class parties, enjoy the saturday night, just do it all. Go ahead and embrace Manipal, you won't find a better place to just be yourself. It takes time but you eventually fall for the place and by the end of the year when you will have to vacate your rooms and go back, trust me you will be sad and you are gonna miss it badly for the 2.5 months. It's a beautiful place, come and work hard, party harder...
